HealthLink BC (HLBC) delivers digital and telehealth services that help British Columbians access trusted health information and support across the continuum of care. By connecting people to timely services before, between, and after in-person care, the team plays a vital role in improving patient outcomes and supporting health care providers throughout the province. Working in a dynamic 24/7 environment, HLBC professionals collaborate to ensure British Columbians receive accessible, high-quality health guidance and navigation within a complex health system.

The Role
As Shift Lead, NAV Operations, you will provide real-time operational leadership for BC’s 8-1-1 contact centre, overseeing high-volume telehealth services that deliver health information and support client care escalation around the clock. This fast-paced and impactful role is responsible for floor supervision, operational coordination, and ensuring service excellence within a multi-site environment, helping British Columbians access timely care and trusted health information when they need it most. Ideal for a confident and collaborative leader, the position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to the delivery of essential provincial health services every day.

Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements

  • Secondary school graduation, or equivalent. 
  • A minimum of 2 years of recent (within the last 5 years) supervisory experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered. 
  • A minimum of 2 years of recent (within the last 5 years) experience working in or supporting a contact centre environment. 
  • A minimum of 2 years of recent (within the last 5 years) experience in standard computer applications including Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, and web navigation. 

Preference may be given to applicants with the following: 

  • Experience working in the health sector. 
  • Who identify as Indigenous (First Nations, Métis or Inuit). 

Willingness Statements: 

  • Ability to work specific types of shifts, shift patterns, or shift lengths that may range from 7-10 hours. 
  • Ability to work shifts that may include days, evenings, and weekends to support a 24 hour / 7 day per week contact center environment. 
  • Ability to work in an environment where schedules are subject to review and change to assure operational needs are met. 
  • Ability to work in multi-sited offices. 
  • Ability to work statutory holidays.
