Description

The Team 
The Receivables Management Office (RMO), of the Ministry of Finance develops and manages the overall strategy and business procedures in the collection of delinquent accounts for all tax and non-tax programs, and loan portfolios overseen by the Ministry. The RMO is currently developing and implementing more effective policies, systems and business processes supporting the consolidation of debt portfolios, the consistent application of early intervention across collection portfolios, and the transfer of non tax portfolios from other ministries to the Ministry of Finance. The Branch undertakes collection activities on behalf of all tax programs and non tax client ministries to obtain payment of outstanding amounts owed to the Province.

The Role
The Legal and Collection Support Clerk supports important work such as handling legal files, processing payments, updating records, managing bankruptcies, and tracking citizen information. This position helps ensure timely communication and service to citizens—delays can impact how and when people receive critical information. Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements

  • Grade 12 graduation or equivalent.
  • Minimum three (3) years administrative/clerical support experience in an office environment.
  • Minimum one (1) year records management experience.
  • Experience with keyboarding, word processing, spreadsheets and other standard computer applications, including the MS Office suite of programs.
  • Minimum two (2) years Microsoft Word experience at the intermediate level.
  • Minimum one (1) year Microsoft Excel experience at the basic level.
  • Minimum two (2) years database maintenance experience, including accessing, updating and entering information, running reports and ensuring data integrity.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.


Preference may be given to applicants with the following:

  • A diploma or certification in office administration, business administration, legal support or related program area.
  • Training and/or experience with ARCS/ORCS records management systems.
