Description
The Team
The Workforce Innovation team delivers two funding programs, the Future Ready Action Plan Workforce Innovation Fund (WIF) and the Sector Labour Market Partnerships (SLMP) program. WIF helps test and implement new ideas to address labour shortages and prepare for a changing economy. The SLMP program is funded through the Canada-BC Labour Market Development Agreement to help industry and employers anticipate, understand, and respond to the rapidly changing labour market. The team with 1 director, 2 Senior Program Managers and 2 Senior Policy Analysts manage partnerships with private and not-for-profit organizations, post-secondary institutions, Indigenous organizations and First Nations.
The Role
To assist in the development and delivery of a wide range of sector labour market partnership projects and to manage internal processes and engagements related to program communications, reporting and other tasks as required. This position provides support to several program managers and to the Program Director.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of two years’ experience in a professional environment or a combination of some post-secondary training with a minimum of three years’ experience in a professional environment.
- Experience in writing reports, briefing materials and/or public facing materials.
- Experience managing projects with multiple internal/external partners.
- Experience with stakeholder relations and engagement.
- Experience with Microsoft Office suite including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
Preference may be given to candidates with the following:
- Experience in writing strategic communication products
- Experience in contract management
- Experience in business, labour market or economic development environment.

This is a temporary/auxiliary opportunity until November 19, 2027. This position may be extended or become permanent.
Remote work is allowed, this position can work up to full time from their home in British Columbia subject to an approved
