The Team
The Office of the Premier is the central agency and political executive branch that supports the head of government in leading the provincial administration, coordinating policies, and managing cabinet operations. Cabinet Operations provides management support and advice to ensure Cabinet and its Committees function as effectively and efficiently as possible to deliver government’s strategic plan.
The Role
As Branch Administrator, you provide administrative and coordination support to the Manager, Executive Directors, and directors and liaise with the Deputy Minister’s Office, the Minister’s Office, and other government staff on a daily basis. The Branch Administrator exercises initiative, judgement and discretion when interacting with staff and visitors and can identify items of high priority and time sensitivity to provide relevant support. The position is privy to confidential and restricted government documents and must adhere to strict standards of conduct and Cabinet confidentiality.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements
- Secondary school graduation or GED;
- One (1) year administrative experience in an office environment;
- One (1) year experience providing administrative services for a group of professional staff;
- One (1) year experience coordinating meetings logistics; OR
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Preference may be given to applicants with the following:
- A Certification or Diploma in Office Administration, Business Administration, or in a related field.
- Two (2) years of administrative experience in an office environment.
- Six (6) months experience coordinating financial activities of the office (accounts payable, purchasing card, etc.).

About this Position:
Flexible work options are available, this position may be able to work up to one or more days at home per week subject to an approved telework agreement.
An eligibility list may be established to fill future permanent and temporary vacancies.
