Job Overview
Coordinate and lead research, analysis, development and implementation of strategic policies and legislation for Ministry priorities. Lead inter-governmental files on behalf of the Ministry with local, provincial/territorial, federal and international governments.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Master’s Degree or higher in Environmental Studies, Natural Resource Management, Regional Land Use Planning, Public Administration, Geography, Resource Economics or a related field AND a minimum of one (1) year in each of the related experience listed below; OR
- Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Studies, Environmental Management, Natural Resource Management, Regional Land Use Planning, Public Administration, Geography, Resource Economics or a related field AND a minimum of three (3) years in each related experience listed below; OR
- Diploma in Environmental Studies, Natural Resource Management, Regional Land Use Planning, Public Administration, Geography, Environmental Technology, Resource Economics or a related field AND a minimum of four (4) years in each related experience listed below; OR
- An equivalent combination of education and related experience may be considered.
Related Experience:
- Experience in research, policy analysis and project management.
- Experience in leading and/or facilitating effective operation of multi-disciplinary teams.
- Experience in working effectively with multiple projects and assignments.
- Experience providing advice and recommendations to senior leaders.
Preference may be given to those whose related experience also includes one (1) or more of the following:
- Environmental, natural resource management and/or sustainable development experience.
- Intergovernmental relations experience.

About this Position:
There is currently one (1) temporary, full-time position available for approximately 12 months. This may be extended or become permanent.
This position can be based in a Natural Resource Sector office. The locations listed above are to assist applicants in searching for this opportunity and are not a complete list of locations.
Depending on the successful candidate’s location, a bi-weekly isolation allowance may apply.

Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work up to five (5) at home per week subject to an approved Telework Agreement.
