Description

The Team
The Court Services Branch within the Ministry of Attorney General delivers court administration services across British Columbia, including registry and trial support for the Provincial Court, Supreme Court, and Court of Appeal, as well as courthouse security and facility services. The Regional Support Services Assistant is part of the Fraser Executive Office and supports court operations across multiple locations in the Fraser Region, working alongside Regional Support Services staff, Financial Analysts, and other administrative professionals. The team provides budget, accounting, facilities, and administrative support to Court Administration and BC Sheriff Service employees while maintaining strong working relationships with court and regional partners.

The Role
The Regional Support Services Assistant provides accounting, budgeting, facilities, and administrative support for the Fraser Region. This position is responsible for financial reporting, salary forecasting, account reconciliations, records management, processing day-to-day financial transactions and providing support for time and leave, human resources, facilities, and information technology/communications. The role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions.

Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements

  • Secondary School graduation or equivalent.
  • 1 year of experience in providing accounts payable, financial, administrative and facility support services to team members and program managers with a multi-faceted portfolio.
  • Experience in keyboarding, word processing, spread-sheeting, proof-reading, databases and other standard computer applications (e.g. MS Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Experience in accounting and budgeting.

Preference may be given to applicants with:

  • Diploma or certificate in accounting.
  • Experience working with Corporate Accounting System (CAS Oracle) and BI – Oracle Analytical Server (OAS).
  • Experience working with CHIPS and CHIPSRP and TLAM.
  • Experience in records management.

This is a temporary opportunity until 04/28/2028. This position may be extended or become permanent.
This position has full time on-site requirements.
