The Team
The Economic Strategy team is a small, dedicated and dynamic team with members based in Victoria and Vancouver. The team works closely with other teams and executive across the Ministry and across government to support the implementation of B.C.’s economic strategy. This high-profile work helps advance key provincial priorities. Team members value an open, authentic and caring environment where collaboration and strong working relationships are central to the team’s success.

The Role
The Program Coordinator provides program and project support for the implementation of B.C.’s economic strategy and other cross-government initiatives. The role maintains public-facing web content, supports cross-government committees, and helps ensure alignment and consistent messaging for key initiatives and the provincial economic strategy. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-profile projects, build relationships across the Ministry and across government, and develop experience in web publishing and communications while supporting work that advances B.C.’s economic priorities.

Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Experience providing administrative coordination and project management services for assigned projects

  • Experience working in a team setting developing productive interpersonal relationships

Preference may be given to candidates with:

  • Post-secondary certificate or higher in a related field

  • Experience developing communications for executive and/or external audiences

  • Experience coordinating activities across large organizations

  • Experience working with content management or web publishing systems (e.g. CMS Lite) to publish web content

About this Position:
This is a temporary opportunity until March 31, 2027. This position may be extended or become permanent.
This position can be based out of any of the location(s) listed above.
Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work from home two (2) days a week subject to an approved telework agreement.
An eligibility list may be established to fill future temporary and/or permanent vacancies.
