The Registry team at the Vancouver Law Courts plays a vital role in supporting the administration of justice within the Supreme Court of British Columbia. Working in a busy and dynamic environment, Registry Clerks work collaboratively to maintain the integrity of court files and case information, process court documentation, support court proceedings, and provide timely and accurate information to those who interact with the court.  Our team of over 95 people plays a critical role in ensuring access to justice through a strong partnership with the judiciary and other justice partners. Collaboration, service, attention to detail, and teamwork are at the heart of the Registry’s work, with team members supporting one another to manage competing priorities, contribute to the effective delivery of court services, and make a meaningful impact in the community by helping ensure equitable access to justice for all.

The Role
As a Registry Clerk at the Vancouver Law Courts, you will play a vital role in supporting the administration of justice and ensuring the accurate and timely processing of court information and documentation.  Working within the Supreme Court environment, you will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of court files and case information, processing court documents and orders, scheduling appearances, recording court results, and ensuring information is accurately captured in court case tracking systems. You will work closely with the Judiciary, sheriffs, justice partners, and members of the public.  You will provide information and assistance to court users, interpret court-related information and documentation, and ensure that documents and information are released appropriately in accordance with legislation, policy, and established access requirements. This is a dynamic role that requires strong attention to detail, sound judgment, organization, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced court environment. As a Registry Clerk, you will have a direct impact on the effective functioning of the court by ensuring that court processes are supported, records are accurate, and information is available to those who are entitled to access it. If you are organized, service-oriented, adaptable, and enjoy working collaboratively with a diverse range of people, this is an opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to the justice system and the delivery of accessible, fair, and effective court services in British Columbia.
