The Team
The Kootenay Region Ecosystems Team is passionate about stewarding some of British Columbia's most iconic landscapes and wildlife habitats. Our team brings together biologists, agrologists, and ecosystem professionals who are united by a shared commitment to stewardship, science-based decision-making, and meaningful collaboration. Working closely with First Nations, local communities, conservation organizations, and other government agencies, we turn conservation priorities into action on the ground. Whether restoring habitat, improving connectivity for wildlife, managing conservation lands, or addressing recreation impacts, our work makes a visible and lasting difference across the region.

The Role
As a terrestrial Ecosystems Biologist, you'll have the opportunity to help shape the future of wildlife habitat conservation and ecosystem stewardship in southeastern British Columbia. This role combines field work, applied science, project management, and partnership building to deliver meaningful conservation outcomes across a diverse and dynamic landscape.

Along the way, you'll collaborate with First Nations, conservation partners, local communities, and technical experts while contributing your expertise to decisions that affect wildlife, ecosystems, and the people who depend on them.
